Adam Rayment BSc (Psych) Dip HSc (Hol Kin) ATMS Holistic Kinesiologist

From a young age Adam was interested in understanding the world and the people around him, which led to his undertaking a Degree in Psychology at Macquarie University upon finishing high school. While there he found his greatest interests lay in the more humanistic aspects of the course, such as the study of Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality and Psychopathology.

Adam completed his Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in 2000, but felt that in many ways it had failed to address fundamental elements of what it is to be human - in particular the importance of spirituality and the subconscious links between the body and the mind.

Over the next few years Adam read extensively, exploring the common ground shared by the major religions of the world, quantum physics and cosmology, modern teachers of spirituality and metaphysics, various other philosophical ideas and his own observations. He also spent over a year travelling around Australia.

In early 2004 Adam discovered the relatively new health modality of Holistic Kinesiology. A synthesis of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Energetic Healing techniques and Western Scientific understandings of muscle testing and response, anatomy, physiology and nutrition, it promised a depth and scope for healing beyond anything he had previously encountered. He enrolled to study at the College of Complementary Medicine in Hornsby within weeks, feeling that finally he had come across a career path that fit with his interests and passions. After a further two years study Adam received his Diploma of Health Sciences in Holistic Kinesiology. Upon graduating he joined the practice at Hornsby Health Centre, where he continues working today.

As a practitioner Adam is inspired by helping people to heal through reconnecting with their inner truth in some way. He believes that we each have a personal destiny or path and that unhappiness and illness are the end result of our losing touch with this most essential aspect of ourselves. True freedom and wellbeing comes when we allow ourselves to live the life we want, rather than the one that society or our fears dictates.

Adam also works as a Lecturer and Assessor at the College of Complementary Medicine and is a qualified Holistic Kinesiology trainer.

Adam is available Tuesday - Thursday 9am - 6pm and at other times by appointment.
