JACQUELINE LUSK   Dip Remedial Massage/Lymphatic Drainage

Growing up in a family with a history of allergies and food intolerances, Jacqueline discovered there were all kinds of natural alternatives to living a healthy lifestyle. This made a big impact on her for many years and inspired her to study a course in massage, as it is a modality with many therapeutic benefits.

Jacqueline continued her studies at Nature Care College, St Leonards for four years and completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage in 2007. She then set up a small massage business at home as well as massaging in nursing homes and making home visits.

With all her training, Jacqueline gained a passion for Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), which is a specialized massage technique reducing the effects of lymphoedema (fluid retention). After seeing patients gain remarkable results in reducing their lymphoedema, this motivated Jacqueline to become more involved in helping those who suffer with this condition after having their mastectomies or post-op surgery.

She also learned how Reiki (a hands on healing energy) complimented her massaging to enhance the healing process in people. It allows self-healing and a sense of harmony which works effectively on all levels of our being.

Jacqueline has been working at Hornsby Health Centre since September 2010 and is available on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings.
