Hornsby Health Centre has three Psychologists - Megan Andriessen, Colleen Sullivan and Hamid Attai.
Hamid offers psychological services in a professional, supportive, non-judgemental and relaxed environment. He aims at strengthening the mind in the pursuit of a stronger and better health and well-being - mentally, physically and emotionally. He speaks English, Farsi and Persian.
Colleen Sullivan has over 25 years' experience. She has completed a masters degree in stress management and offers a positive, evidence-based, holistic approach to personal growth, health and wellbeing.
Megan strives to create a non-judgemental and supportive space where people feel safe to talk about the things that are negatively impacting on their wellbeing. With experience working in community and clinical mental health settings as well as seeing children, adolescents and adults in private practice, Megan is qualified and experienced in providing clinical care that is client-focused and compassionate. Megan currently works with young adults and adults struggling with issues related to mood and anxiety , traumatic stress, life change and transitions as well as attention and focus issues.
Megan is passionate about seeing people develop awareness and understanding of unhelpful responses to stress that negatively impact on their functioning in work, personal life and relationships. In her work, Megan draws from training in a number of treatment modalities including CBT, ACT & DBT. Megan is a registered Medicare Provider.
