Megan Andriessen, Psychologist BA (Psych) Hons

Megan is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society. Megan loves connecting people to the skills they need to live well, and strives to create an empathic, non-judgemental space for clients to talk about the issues that negatively impact on their wellbeing. With experience working in community and clinical mental health settings as well as seeing children, adolescents and adults in private practice, Megan is qualified and experienced in providing clinical care that is client-focused and compassionate. Megan currently works with young adults and adults struggling with issues related to mood and anxiety , traumatic stress, life change and transitions as well as attention and focus issues.

Megan is passionate about seeing people develop awareness and understanding of unhelpful responses to stress that negatively impact on their functioning in work, personal life and relationships.

Megan is qualified and experienced in the delivery of focused psychological strategies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Relaxation and Mindfulness skills, Stress Management, Emotion Regulation and Anger Management.
In addition to her work with clients, Megan is completing postgraduate study in Brain and Mind Sciences (Sydney University) and is a board approved supervisor.

When not at work, Megan is married to Jason, Mum to Hannah and Charlie and the proud owner of two ‘fur-children’ – a cheeky border collie and world’s cuddliest cat – and loves nothing more than hunting for a bargain in her local op-shops.
